Black chrome is a plating process not just paint. I'm sure there are ways you can paint the grill to look like black chrome, but I'm sure it's like a three step process.

you can try and use the Niteshade paint (it's the paint that used in tinting the taillight), i've seen people use it on their chrome emblem to turn it into black chrome, looked legit.

i'm trying to keep my Embless grill so i wouldn't have to go that route...it would've been easier probably to just trade my grill for sumone else who has a stock grill but i don't want the emblem in the middle..that's why i'm asking..

Green color based BLACK paint on a high pressure gun..

Do not sand original chrome surface just clean VERY well..

Do not clear

Finish with 3M cutting compound.

Keep waxed

= closest you'll get to black chrome with paint

Result: PM deepdiver..

- Enjoy

Alsa's black chrome is good stuff . Iv used it before . Only thing is that its a completely different painting process that body shops are not going to know so they may not want to even attempt it . Other than that the only way to get black chrome is to start off with chrome and use a candy(translucent) black over it .
