Installed New steering wheel controls...now nothing works (not even horn)

So0o0o...

Im following the DIY on removing the steering wheel controls. Everything came apart fine except removing the wheel itself. After a bit of tugging the steering wheel came loose, but it yanked off the little white electrical clip behind it tearing the connection. I put it back together insuring the copper prongs were still touching each other, but when it wuz all sed and done...nothing worked. Not even my horn.

Has anyone else experienced this or know an easy fix? Or does my a$$ have to by a whole new steering column now that the connection was torn? Its really aggravating becuz i planned on gettin it tuned this weekend, and nothing is gonna happen if those buttons dont work.

Ok so i found out that part is the clock spring. Will a malfunctioning clock spring affect the horn and steering controls? I just want to make sure before ordering the part

Yikes.. Exactly why most people say don't touch the steering wheel, who knows if the airbag was affected. I would personally suck it up and take it in and get it done properly, may be expensive but it's the price to pay when you mess up and want to know you can use your horn and that your airbag will deploy if need be.
