What bulbs do you guys use for the main headlights? What is the stock rating? Can I just go and change the stock main lights to 6000k bulbs? Also, what bulbs would you recommend for the clearance lights and fog lights. I want the blue/white color with NO YELLOw. and not too white, more bluish.

for clearance and sides, PIAA hyper white LED, they have a bluish tint to em, looks clean matches HIDs, MTEC fogs also match well. good luck

 

For the main HID headlight, you need D2R bulbs!! I just put my 8000k in and they are great, took a day to really break in the color and now they are believe it or not just as bright or brighter then stock, i love them! Go to www.hidynamic.com!

take a look at my thread mtec and piaa its got some before/after pics of my PIAA's installed in the corner and clearance and the MTEC for the fogs. they match the headlights beautifully, no yellowish look anymore at all and the fogs definitely have that blue reflection. total cost was under $50 for all 6 bulbs so i'd recommend it.

Are you talking about blueish tent light, or the bulbs themselves.

The problem with the color of light is that its different to everyone, and different compared to other lights.

What I think your looking for is a 5000k-6000k rated bulb. 8000k to 10,000k is going to look purple hued.

are PIAA good bulbs for the Main if iw ant 6000k?

 

The "main" lamp has two lights, the low beam HID which is a 4300k yellow/white white. (Top light)

The Highbeam/Foglight is the (lower light). Its a H4bulb. There are some threads about this, but the PIAA or HTEC bulbs that are rated at 4200k~4800k are the closet match to the HID lamp, but nowhere hear the power of the HID lowbeam.

If you want a Higher K-temp "lowbeam" then thats something else.

The lights look more blue then they really car because of the camera, nowhere near that blue, if you look at the ground it isnt a blue or purple color, its just a more purple or blue white HID look and IMO, better then stock hard to believe, people were surprised of the light output!

I have PIAA Xtreme white and plasma blue for my clear corners and clearance lights in the fig light, and my foglight bulbs are PIAA Superplasma (HID) H4 bulbs, with match perfect with stock HID, now it doesnt match the 8000k at all so i leave it off!
