CF Diffuser from HELL (terrible fitment question)
Hello all. So I just bought a CF diffuser, dude was from Craigslist and said it was from the same manufacturer of strafe, brand new. Picked it up got home and this shiz does not fit at all. Is it my rear bumper or the diffuser it self. Here's some pictures with some details describing the pictures.
This is how it sits with the 2 holes on the bottom of the diffuser matched with the OEM holes on the bumper.
Theres a gaping hole on the piece thats supposed to cover the area where the rear license plate sits. This piece, and the piece on the OEM bumper do not line up at all.
The left side of the diffuser when trying to make the right side sit flush with the lines. This is put on without screws on the bottom. No way it would match the lines if I screwed it in.
My OEM bumper. Was thinking maybe this isnt a normal bumper and had some work done to it to maybe not fit this diffuser. Can't tell though, maybe some else can?
Well thats it. There is no secret way to mounting this diffuser is there? Or is this really just a crappily designed CF diffuser with terrible fitment problems. I seriously have to push in and bend and try to shape the other side of the diffuser to try to match with the lines on my car, and thats without it being screwed in. Any help with any diffuser on their car is appreciated. Thanks!
edit: I asked the guy who sold me the diffuser "IS This seriously the right diffuser?" He said Yes it is, and asked if my bumper was warped or modified in any way which it isnt.
Said he'll get back to me with pictures of a friend installing it, and said "You have to play with it."

I'm pretty pissed at the moment because of this F-ing diffuser, hes from SoCal, has his own shop, and said buys from the same manufacturer that manufactures your diffusers. Thought fitment would be spot on, or at least close to it not like this.

Might want to try a heat gun (very carefully!) and try bending it to contour better. That's about the best I can see you doing. As long as you get it somewhat close to the shape, enough double-sided 3m tape, and bolts or rivets should do the rest. Hard to tell just how bad it is...or just how well it can be re-shaped without being there in person though.
