trim on outside of doors on some G's???

Hey guys, i am from my350z for the most part..i have sold my z not too long ago and i am shopping for a G now. I came across one local i am considering but i think its the only ive seen with a trim down the exterior of the doors and into the back quarters. not sure if i like it and wondering if it can be removed without leaving marks or holes., i assume its to save door dings and such..

its a 04 dark gray coupe

refer to 2nd post for pic...

The molding can be removed easily. It's just taped on. My G had it and I removed the drivers side with no problems. Most of the time spent doing this was on getting the sticky stuff off the doors. My passenger side was f'ed up. It was in a accident and the body shop put the molding on then painted the car!

Yes on my old Mazda 6 I had them. Took them off. SUPER EASY!!! Just make sure the paint underneath matches up. Here is a thread that may help.
