Help! Signal lights sometimes blinking too fast!
My 2003 G had xenon headlights installed before I purchased it, and the left turn signal will sometimes blink too fast on the dash but not light up on the actual turn signal lights at all, but then other times will blink slowly on the dash and on the actual turn signal lights and work just fine.
From asking around I've heard it could be because of a loose ground connection? Thanks in advance for the input!

The bulbs filament doesn't have to be broken all the way. It can still be making some contact which is why its working sometimes. With stuff like this its best to eliminate the easiest solution first
Oh forgot to mention as well, when the indicator light blinks fast and the turn signal stops working it does it for the front AND back turn signals. Would that still be a bad bulb potentially?

I know for the LED's they take way less power than the conventional bulbs, so you need to put in resistors to slow down the current. I don't know anything else about it other than that tho :/
As for my turn signal, I figured out that they only work if my nighttime headlights are on. If I just have the daytime running lights on they don't work. Changing back and forth between the two determines whether my turn signal works or not.
So now I'm 93% sure its a wiring problem, would it not? I don't know where to start to fix it though :/

Hmm this is turning into quite a condundrum. Check to make sure everything on your turn signal lever works or not. I've seen something similar happen on a ford truck and it was the lever itself.
Well, that, or change the LED's back to stock. IMO, it's dumb to put LED's in most signal light applications anyways, as they're normally DIMMER than the stock bulbs and don't create much difference in appearance unless you go completely custom.
LED's actually have HIGHER RESISTANCE than a stock bulb. To clarify, it's not the LED's themselves, but rather the built in resistors that LED's need to work. this causes a high resistance, which to the Flasher unit looks like a burnt out bulb. A burnt bulb has INFINITE (HIGH) resistance.
A normal bulb has a pretty low resistance value. because electricity takes the path of least resistance, you can fix this by putting another resistor that is close in value to a normal bulb wired IN PARALLEL with the LED bulb. This method though, causes that added resistor to get stupid hot and is somewhat dangerous, especially if you don't get the expensive ones with the built in Heat-Sink.
This is why i always recommend getting a LED flasher relay if you can do it. We're lucky and IIRC, only need the standard 3 pole relay, they can be had on Ebay for about $2 or less + shipping.

I'd also take the bulb out if you didn't already, and replace it as already suggested. It's possible someone just put the wrong bulb in or did something wacky. We need more info.
ALSO you mentioned you have 'aftermarket' HID's. Are you sure of this, or not? Because HID's were an option from the factory on your year.
