OK, 'nuther power window switch issue; replaced motor, but...

All right, brand new motor, did the switch re-calibration.

AUto-up won't work.

Driver's window works even if the window lock button is depressed.

I open the door, window goes down a bit. I close the door, window does NOT go back up! So each time I open the door, it goes down and closing it doesn't go back up.

Passenger's all fine.

THink it's a switch issue?

Subscribed. I am having the same issue. I did the reset procedure and now it won't even go up with the key in the door lock. So I have to open the door and then roll the window up and close the door.

I believe there's a reset switch on the motor itself did you try that?

Yes, done the reset procedure on the new motor about 20x.

I also got a hold of another driver's PW switch; didn't help.

Is there some master electronic reset on the whole car one can do? It seems that it's an electrical glitch and the car is confused and needs a reset. Disconnecting the battery didn't help.

I did it. It was pretty straightforward including the reset procedure.

The reset button isn't electronic at all. It's a little plug that goes into the motor that seems to tell the motor where's the bottom and where's the top of it's travel. I don't think THAT has anything to do w/the auto-roll-down-when-door-opens function.

I had the same issue, each and everytime i do this. On some doors, it works perfectly (i can't remember if it's the passenger or driver side that usually works w/o any trouble), but other, the auto stop doesn't reset properly.

I believe it has something to do with having the door closed when you reconnect the motor/switch. I remembered talking to a master tech and he told me about this. I know it's not mentioned in the repair manual either. I don't remember the exact procedures, but i believe it starts with reconnecting the motor/switch with the door closed. Then go through the resetting procedures ( i don't know if door needs to remain closed or not, so try both way if one doesn't work). Hope it helps, it worked for me when i tried it.
