SWAPPING TRUNKS, please help me with some info....DIY
Hi guys,
Is there a DIY out there for a trunk swap? I am going to give out my spoiler-less trunk for a trunk w/ oem-spoiler...
Is it as simple as undoing a few screws? how does the BRAKE LIGHT from the spoiler hook up? Is there a plug waiting for it in my trunk?
My friend actually will know how to do all of this, but I am just curious in case he won't be able to do it that day...
Thanks

As they saying goes . . . "If you need to ask, don't try doing it yourself" ...
BUT hey if you want to give it a shot, swapping out your trunk is a cake walk, and yes its as easy as taking off four screws, unplugging your third brake light (there is a plug), and off it comes...
Nothing really to it! Just take your time when it comes to installing the replacment. An extra set of hands helps, but if no ones around, get a large / thick towel and or blanket, and lay it across the lower part of your rear windshield (making sure you also cover the upper rear 1/4 panel and trunk sections). You can then lay the new trunk (gently) down on it and then work on getting each corner lined and bolted up.
Happy Wrenching!
