I saw a coupe fees days ago who painted his roof and I loved the look of it. Unfortunately I don't have money to spend on little stuff like that so I was going to plastidip the roof.
Has anybody done this and how has it held up?

 

Isn't plasti dip a matte finish? It will probably look like **** since the sunroof/car is glossy.

 

Not a problem. They have plastidip glossifiers, with each coat you can make it as glossy as you want.

There have been multiple threads about this. Lots of people have done it. I'm about to do my whole car white and roof black hopefully later this week.

 

I've done it with the can, got half perfect but then i messed up portions of the other half (splotchy) and there's no good way to correct it so i just finished it up, kept for a few days and removed it.

The spray can doesn't spray very well on a horizontal surface, for that i suggest getting the bucket, dilute according to PD's recommendations and use an (air) spray gun.

 

They do have a gloss finish. I've done my car a few times full dip. Some people can tell right off the bat its not paint. Some can't. Some think its vinyl. If you touch it its obvious its not paint.

 

i got mine done not so long ago, still looking good! theres a black glossy one! i think its better than the flat black~!

 

cant wait to do my rims glossy black..but they do look pretty good on roofs glossy
