Awesome Touch Up Paint Kit...

My white G35 coupe got hit by a rock the other day. Made 2 deep scratches. I got the dealer's touch up kit what a POS. Then I found:

http://www.paintscratch.com/

It comes with a tri-coating(base(white)/mid(pearl)/clear) kit, rubbing compound and cleaning thinner. I applied each coat with a toothpick. After each coating I used the rubbing compound to smooth it out. It's virtually unnoticeable now except for the dent from the reflection. I'm soo relieved...

nice find. i was keyed the first week i got my car and went crazy trying to avoid paying $900 to repair it. i tried nearly every kit out there (dealer touchup, langka, mother's, etc). in the end, i bought plasti-kote's wetsanding kit and wetsanded the entire area around the scratch, then filled it in with factory touch up paint and used blob remover to get rid of excess. i then applied a clearcoat and used gs-27 scratch remover to get rid of the blurr from the sanding. now it is nearly invisible and if dirt ever accumulates, one swipe of a cloth and NXT and i cant see it again. i know how you feel and im happy for ya. my repair was my proudest accomplishment/"mod" on my car

damn high school kids...

I could only WISH I drove a car like that in HS - it would be incredible all the a$$ I would have pulled in it! (even though I didn't do too bad with my 1995 Sierra 1500 dropped on 17's back in the day - first person in my town with 17" wheels!)
