There is no tips or tricks with the G35. Buy OEM projectors. That is is, period.

If your are buying aftermarket headlights from carid, ebay or anywhere else; you screwed up.

Then properly retrofitted OEM is the only correct choice. With the G35, no matter what, OEM is always better than aftermarket. There is no exception. All of the nicest Gs will always have OEM headlights.

If you have a seadan or a 04-05 coupe. Then check out the DIY headlight section and the retrofit source.

In the end, retrofits will cost a bit more than aftermarkets. But you get what you pay for. Far better output, cutoff, looks, and resale value.

Your comments will be removed, tbh I always love a nice Retrofit but most people don't have the time or energy... The halogen projectors are an upgrade from the stickers.

Why would they be removed. If vendors want to post incorrect garbage, they should do it in the vendor forums where they are protected. In the tech forums, their BS is fair game.

Typical vendor BS, that isnt even a real picture. It is clearly photoshopped in. There is a reason they dont us real life pics.

I'll let you know which vendor I'm referring to if he doesn't come thru for me!

A few vendor have our backs and then there are a few flakes too! You better know going in which one you're dealing with! Will that bumper you bought which didn't fit and your body shop warned you it would eventually crack being forced to fit? Will that vendor step up and return your $$ or will he tell you he installs them all day long without issue. Then he offers to return your $$ if he finds someone else to buy it in the future! Future? A week, year or maybe never...flakes! Be very careful who you spend your hard earned $$ with, you may never see it again!!!

There has been many vendor fiascos here. I personally got screwed by 180 custom. But there was the mastercraft, carbodykits, baus, ect. The only criteria to be a vendor, is write a check. There is no protection for the forum members, often mods vigorously defend vendors when first couple people post issues. It isnt until multiple members get screwed, until they do something.

I totally agree with this statement.
However in some cases we need to urgently replace damaged or broken headlight units, and our guide is simply giving a brake down about headlight specs for people who don't have much experience in this area.

We're not here to bother you with annoying ads or make you buying something you don't like.

I am into import scene for quite a long time already, and I realize what's good and what's bad on the aftermarket just like everyone else on this forum.

Yes, there are some affordable, quick-replacement parts and simple accessories for regular drivers and non-enthusiasts, but along with that CARiD has a lot of legit and high quality products for spirited owners like performance suspension, exhausts, wheels, and many more.

I am your personal rep on the forum, so in case any product specs or price related questions appear - I'll be glad to help.

Michael
