G Trim

Hello everyone,

I am new here so I hope this is posted in the correct area. If not, I’ll take the flame. I have owned two G sedans so far, the first being black so the black trim/side skirts were not visibly different. On my silver G, the black trim takes away from the appearance and generally looks worn, faded, and otherwise bad. Does anyone know where I can get trim that would match the color of the rest of the car?

Not really the answer to the question you were asking but check out a product called "wipe new" it's amazing on black plastic and lasts a LONG time (6mo now for me). A word of caution, tape off the area next to where you apply it, you do NOT want to get it on nearby surfaces because it's nigh impossible to get off.

Also you might have better luck with a color matched vinyl for the trim rather than actually painting it, depends on which pieces you're talking about.

Do you know if wipe new would work on a grill that's painted black? It's kind of faded and I'm looking for an easier solution rather than painting it.
