Help with EXTERIOR LIGHTS
Hey guys, i have a 2007 g35 and i been having issues with my headlights, drl, sidemarkers and tail lights not turning on at night or at all. The hazards do work and the brake lights when i hit the brakes. I have checked every fuse and relay they were all good! Next thing i did was do a ipdm test to see if they would at least turn on and they did. From what i read in the forums is it could be the bcm or clockspring. Any way to check which one it is? I have a extra bcm but dont wanna pay to program it and its not that. Any info would help
You can put the BCM in diagnostic mode and it will go through each of the various functions for like 5 seconds, oil pressure light will blink to start, then wipers, exterior parking lights, headlights, AC clutch, cooling fan. And it will repeat that sequence 3 times.
To get into diagnostic mode, close all doors except the driver door, turn the ignition to ON, then reach over and actuate the driver door switch (the one on the B-pillar, it's a plunger switch that lets the car know the door is closed), push that door switch 10 times, turn the ignition OFF, then turn the ignition back ON again.
The horn will beep once, then the test starts running.
