Full paint job

I've been considering a new color for my black 03.5 sedan. A local bodyshop that South Bay Infiniti uses quoted me $4-$5k.

is this a good deal or about average price?

Has anyone else painted their G?

it depends on the color you are going to paint it - 4-5K probably sounds regular as long as you're talking about removing all the glass, fender linings, lights, interior door panels, fenders, etc. in a regular color. if you're talking about all that in a kandy or chameleon or something that's going to be way more than 4-5K. you can talk to auto explosion and western auto body for regular colors - reflections does excellent job on kandy / chameleon but are more expensive - i've seen jobs done by M1 and a few other shops around. best thing to do is see the cars that have come out of there for yourself.

is your car lighter or darker than the blue 350z'?

does "kandy" mean deep gloss show quality?
