those guys were probably just lazy... Usually the techs would lift it from the back with a floor jack... then insert the lift arms behind the front wheels... that's how they usually work it...

you didn't say what body kit you have..anyway 1st to try is use small floor jack.if that not work drive the car on some blocks.

Surprised what a 2x4 can do! Anyhow, just a note, if you have Greddy side skirts and or similar, you WONT be able to use your factory jack either! Sucks when you're on the side of the road with a flat and you cant get your car up...

I have seen a racing jack which has a low profile and can fit under lowered cars...anyone running one of those?? My car is stock height but the splash guard gets in the way at times so I have to remove the head on the jack and use a 2x4 at times to get her up!

These are all great solutions for working at home or if you have access to a shop with a lift, but that's still not going to solve the problem when he goes to have the car serviced somewhere. Hopefully there will be a sharp tech around that knows how to get the car up.

My '97 Mitsu. GSX was lowered, with the OEM bodywork, and I ran into clearance problems with lifts and oil-change-pit raised edging. Ended up finding a garage/gas station close to work who had a low enough profile lift to accomodate the car. You could look for the same.

I'm going to try to avoid lowering my G. I'll look for the minimum drop if the fender gap is just too much to stand, especially since I'll be running the Nismo front bumper. But I'd rather have the ground clearance. That GSX always posed a problem when trying to load, lift or traverse speed bumps and (not-so) steep driveways. Suddenly having a rock or chunk of wood reveal itself from the car in front of you, on the highway with nowhere to go but over it, could be an intensely sphincter-puckering moment.

Remove your kit and take it in for service, thats what I used to do with my Accord.
Why were you going to the dealership anyways?

i had to take off the side skirts before they worked on it...atleast i know now...i had to get a new rear axle joint installed...becuase of some clickin issues in the rear...and i figured while it was there ill get an oil change too...but now everyone knows...if ur car is too low, take off ur side skirts before u go to the dealer...im riding stock height, so didnt think it would be an issue...thnx again...
