Can i take a lip off during the winter?

Can i take a lip off during the winter?

Hey guys im thinking of getting a giallia lip for my car the problem is i live up in canada and i would like to take it off during the winter so it doesn't ruin is this possible? also would it be possible to take off a full bumper during the winter?

LOL @ taking of entire bumper! haha!

Yeah, you could take off your entire bumper... but why would you want to?

And yes, the lip can be removed for winter and it should look just like any ordinary stock G35

the bumper is there for a reason: protection . i dont remember any lips attached with mainly adhesive so if you choose to take off the lip you will have some nasty holes showing

Generally speaking, lips bolt on from underneath the bumper (sometimes using brackets), and the inside of the wheel wells so there will be no permanant visible damage. Also, the Gialla lip is designed to "cup" into the lower vents, so I'm almost possitive that the design of its installation will have no holes showing. By the way the Gialla lip is designed, it could be installed with just one screw in each wheel well and still be safe.

go buy one of those civic bumpers and tell a shop to make it so it'll fit on a G.. then just swap bumpers during winter.. just fck everything u'll have ur own snow plow

Actually, we do have snow. Drive an hour in any direction, and we pretty much have everthing. Beach, snow, plenty of amusment parks, TJ haha casinos... I love living in So Cal!

You only have 333 posts? haha, you newb! jp (you've been here a year longer than I have lol)

i don't mean driving around without a bumper i mean if i buy an aftermarket one then i swap that out for my stock one during the winters.

no. our body panels are monopiece and therefore youd have to swap the entire shell if you wanted to go aftermarket

oh and codeflux you might wanna consider that silverbolt has outwhored you in posts... and he doens't even have a G yet.
