It took me a while to understanding why any one would buy a replica,
So it seems that main factor is to save money, which is cool with me......
Then why everyone who has a replica tends to forget to put “replica” in their mod list. Could anyone explain this?

Seems that all those who fork over a ****load of money on the real thing always feel slighted when a replica comes out. Who care if it's real or fake. If it looks good that should be the end of it.

As for replica in the sig, I don't think that's such a big deal, I got a replica and I'm using the money I saved to buy other things for my car. No sense in wasting an extra $2000 for something that is just made of fiberglass.

Just my .02.

I didn't bother updating my sig only because A)I didn't see it neccessary and B) I ran out of Sig. limit.
At the end of the day once it's painted it doesn't matter if it is a replica or not, they both look the same and for a lot less.

Does it really matter? There have been COUNTLESS times when a "replica" out did the originator and took over it's market. Just because they're not the first, doesnt always make them any lesser of a bodykit. If buying the original is so important, I would have a Sunny Style carbon fiber hood on my Honda. They may be the originator, but compared to today's standards and all the compitition (replicas) Sunny Styles is a CRAPPY CF hood!

Juan, also tell me what is the difference from an "original" bodykit, and a "replica". Its nothing more than a fiberglass bodykit. The only major difference is the mold. First generation and second generation mold. Also keep in mind that the first half of bodykits from the second gen mold will be better than the last half of bodykits from the first generation.

Also, I dont buy my bodykit for its "name", I bought it for its looks and style. Authenticity ONLY matters if you're a competing show car. Other than that, it doesnt matter.

I tend to agree, as long as fitment/looks/quality match...who cares, its made from the same $hit. And please dont get into 'its like buying a fake rolex or a fake lacoste shirt'....b/c we all know a fake rolex is NOT made from the same quality materials NOR is a fake lacoste shirt (if such a thing even exists). My point is that I refuse to buy a fake movado/rolex b/c there IS a quality difference. However in the world of fiberglass/urethane/FRP the material just about the SAME if not the SAME.

Okay, so if you are so happy and proud of it "overall"
then why don't you call it replica in your mod list.........
Thats what I don't understand

I will always be able to tell if its a knock off or not. The real has CF around the fogs, the fake doesnt.

I highly doubt the normal averaje joe inspects the fog light holes to see if there is CF, when everything is fitted and painted, it is almost impossible to tell if its a replica or authentic.

Why didnt I care to say if it was a replica or the original? Because I didnt see how it would matter one way or another. If it'll make you happy, I'll change it lol.
