Thumbs up

Looks much better! I was thinking of replacing my OEM grill but for some reason I don't dig the badgeless open look aftermarket grills give. This however has me thinking again.

I grew up in va beach but i currently live in blacksburg (VA Tech). I signed up on the National G club website a few months back and i get all the emails but its hard to make events since i am 4 hours away and I work full time + finishing grad school. I checked the member list on the G Club site and I did not see my info there so maybe i did not do something right when i registered. I would love to make it out to some events some time, I just need a less hectic schedule first.

i painted it with some of the testors model spray paint. Its a metallic silver color which is a pretty close match to the headlight color. Its attached with 2 hex head screws and washers through the grill. I used the emblem off the front of the car. if you look close at your emblem, you will see it is not a solid piece. I removed mine from the factory grill and cut off part of the back which protruded much more that the rest of the emblem. I then filled it with bondo to make it solid and fill in the gaps on the side. Some sanding and trimming cleaned it all up. When that was done, I painted. Then I lined it up on the grill and made marks on the back, predrilled holes to fit 2 3/4 inch hex head screws.

With all the painting and sanding the whole process extended over several days but did not actually take up much time.

looks awesome bro. however are their infiniti symbols that are more flat when you put it on the grill, seem to stick out a lot when you look at it from the side

i debadged my car so I could have used the infiniti symbol off the rear which is flat and a little smaller. The reason i used the symbol from the front was to get the size and meat to make it look substantial. It comes out far enough tat ist is only about 1/2 inch shy from being flush with the slope of the grill

hrmm you should use the flat emblem IMO, this one sticks out too far and looks funny, if you debadged your trunk emblem, you can use that one on your grill.

since i still have to sand and paint this one some more, i will try to post pics with the emblem from the back of the car to compare to this one. Like I mentioned, I like the meat of it. I think the remblem from the rear might be too recessed.
