i like how he's also ignoring how thin the glass is....but knockoffs and quality don't usually go hand in hand

On my other car, I've drifted into a curb, rear ended two cars, and another car once clipped me from the front driver side and completely knocked off my bumper. Guess what, after 7 years of abuse, my fiberglass kit was still on my car... and at the end, it was still show quality.

*edit*
I've gone through 3 OEM bumpers because they couldnt be repaired... but my fiberglass kit stayed with me through out all the abuse. Also, if FG was so bad, then why are there cars out there (like the corvette) that have a full fiberglass outer body shell?

Maybe because they didn't have polymers back when the Corvette was introduced that would stand up to daily driving? Also, probably because of weight. Steel bodypanels are heavy I'm guessing so they are saving weight. Also, carbon fiber is way too expensive?

I have had mine for months and it looks great, about the thickness, it is as thick as the original so if you got a thin one then that is the luck of the draw.

You guys are missing the point here. Fiberglass is available because you can do so many designs and crank them out into production faster. You seriously think you'd have all these designs out available for you guys if there was only urethane? Mustangs/Camaros utilize fiberglass hoods as well... If they were seriously about using planels for weight savings, they'd use aluminum (which is cheaper than carbon fiber still of course).

Not calling you a liar but i wouldnt believe it unless it happened to me .

i'm not saying there's anything wrong with FB, i'm just saying the properties of fiberglass are such that they don't allow for much flex, and would rather crack than flex.
