how do you remove the shift ****?

hi im not sure if this is the right place to put this thread but i was wondering how do you remove the shift ****?

because i just got a rouge short shifter and im trying to do it myself lol

just turn it counter clockwise...itll come off...i just did it to mine

dont do this...

u need to grasp below the shift **** AND the shift **** itself to correctly unscrew it, or else you might screw up some engine part, im not really sure what part it is, the transmission??

wrap the lower shaft with something soft to protect it, & use pliers to hold it from turning while you turn the **** off (ccw)

hold the the boot and turn the **** to the left, its pretty simple
