Badges

I bought a used G and I notice that there was dirt around the infiniti symbol on the back of the so I am planning to take it off to clean it up and then put it back on. I was just wondering what adhesive is best for putting badges on? I see some G's with Skyline on them and just wondering what is the best glue to use.

STOP!

Do not remove the emblem or be prepared to buy a new one (those suckers are pretty expensive considering they're made out of plastic).
You'll have a hard time cutting the adhesive, as it sits "inside" the emblem and not on the surface of it. My recommendation to you is to clean around with a Q-tip. Do not remove it. I debadged my car thinking I can always just get some double-sided tape and put it back on when I sell the car. Bad mistake, it's not as easy as it seems. I now have to shell out some $100 for the whole rear emblems set (Mt. Fuji, INFINITI, G35).

P.S.

Not to mention, the hard time you'll have aligning that thing dead center, back into place.

+1

do not remove them ... if u want to put it right back on after that. I fully debadged mine and put all the nissan/skyline ones ... but if i ever do plan on putting the infiniti back on it would be simply impossible and i would have to go and buy a whole set of new ones ... there is just no way to get it back on as it is now.

What kind of adhesive did you use to put on the Skyline badges? I already took them off and have them in a little bag. None of them broke.

when you buy the new badges thay come with the adhesive already on the back of them. then you just stick them on. if they are already off you are going to need to buy new ones
