Hood looks great. I guess you didn't take a good look at my G at dpa... Paint matches to the car & as stated by ducati; within time the paint ages & match the paint better then it already is. The only real way to see if the ip matches is to see sun reflection off the paint..thats where all good body shops make sure there is adequete pearl in the paint to match the flakes from the oem to aftermarket area. Overall you have good ideas & taste with your decisions & great help to back it up.... keep up the good work.

Damn, talk about bringing a thread back, lol. Duc is a car enthusiast like the rest of us and a good friend I'd like to think.

I have the same cf hood. Its sitting in my shed though. I took it off about 3 weeks ago for the winter. The vents allow all the rain to just pour onto the pulleys.

888, if you see the car in person it looks less outta place.... there are lots of dark parts on his car to match it.... the foglight area on his KS front, the gunmetal wheels, the dark section on his KS rear.... when you look at the whole package his car really looks amazing.

i thought about doing a similar setup on my coupe, but decided against it b/c it WOULD look outta place since my coupe has chrome wheels and no carbon fiber or dark parts anywhere on it

2 weeks ago on the drive down to Philly from NY coupin was following me and i had gotten alittle ahead... when he changed lanes and accelerated to catch up with me, that black "crown" on the hood looked super badass coming up behind me

looks great. i'd paint the cf parts ip to match the car though. also, paint it so you can still see the weaves. kinda transparent ip over the CF.

Hey guys, thanks for the feedback. Some said to paint it all IP. My thoughts were, what's the point? If I wanted an all IP hood I would have stayed stock. Like SI said, in person it looks complete because you can see the dark accents, i.e. wheels, fog lights, rear bumper.

To each his own, but remember, this is my car, not yours.
