Greddy Spoiler Custom Replica

My brother (who knows more about this stuff than I do) told me that you can get stuff custom fiber glassed for not crazy expensive. Like maybe $1200-1500 for a run of just 1. I'll have to ask him where, but does anyone know anything about this? The reason I'm asking is because I really really like the look of the unmanufactured Greddy spoiler.

If I could get one custom made, or maybe get a few people interested in a custom made one then the price would surely come down. Anyone interested?

I realize that some people dont' like this spoiler, and that's fine. I don't really want to hear comments in this thread about how it looks like a celica or civic wing, or how its ricey or ugly. I've heard em' all and I don't agree. I'm just not into the flat spoiler like the OEM one. The only other options are Nismo and Veilside which don't look as sleek as the Greddy.

Any interest guys?

I think the cost for a one off Greddy spoiler is ridiculous (if it is around your guesstimate). If that's the case, why not buy the real deal?

Also, for group buys you would probably need at least 10-20 people before the price will drop. I think even then it won't drop as much as you'd probably hope.

Good luck, though.

Like I said though, the Greddy one isn't actually made as far as I know. I'd be fine with a universal one that looks similar and would flow with the G, anyone know of one?

I think you guys are getting this post all wrong here.

First off GReddy does not make that spoiler. I dunno why, I think thats really stupid of them. I know a lot of people like it, myself including and I know I would buy one if they did make it. But the fact of the matter is, they don't.

What briphi, is trying to get at is since GReddy doesn't make it. And since so many people DO like it, maybe we should all get together and make it ourselves. I think this is a great idea, as long as we can find a QUALITY manufacturer to make it for us.

It's not going to cost $1,200-1,500 per spoiler. Thats about how much it costs to make a fiberglass MOLD. So if only 1 person were to get this, that mold would have to be paid for in full by that 1 customer. However if we can find a good manufacturer and show some intrest in this product, they would probably make a mold at their cost for us, as long as they know they could sell enough of this to be profitable. Most places would require us to get at least 15-20 buyers to pre-order one. Then they would make it a regular manufactured part. Something like this should cost no more than $2-400 to make. And thats being generous.

If someone could start a new thread, maybe with a poll or something that would show enough people were intrested. I could talk to some manufacturers I know to see if they would make it for us. And I will call my GReddy sales rep to see exactly why the heck they aren't making this product.

Hey awesome GReddySetGo, nice to see someone else who's interested and understood what I was talking about. I'm not too familiar with getting anything custom made, but if you can look around and letme know what you can find that'd be great. Let me know what Greddy says too.
