infiniti trunk logo

I'm planning on removing the badges on the trunk of my g35. I was just wondering if the infiniti logo has any drill holes behind it that need to be filled in or is the logo just glued on like the rest of the infiniti letters? also, what is the best method in removing the rear badges so i don't mess up the paint?

on a coupe there are no holes or anything attached to the trunk. best method is to debadge on a very very very hot day. and use fishing wire or something of that sort and work your way on the back to peal it off. it should come off easily if its already heated and warmed up

If you have the coupe, please take off the emblem first and take pics. Everyone takes the letters off and leaves the emblem, and I think I will like the opposite, but want to see it first. Thanks.

Dental floss simply wasn't strong enough for me. I used fishing line and kept it close to the back of the emblems. The down-side is that it left more adhesive stuck the car that I would have liked. Some repeated applications of Goo Gone (or Goo B Gone?) and a Made-In-The-USA, 100% USA Cotton towel will do the trick without scuffing/scratching your finish. Patience is key, as several applications of the Goo Gone will likely be needed.

Watch your choice in towels!!!!!!!!

I used dental floss and a blow dryer on mine, the line broke several times.
I bet fishing line Spider Wire would work very well.

Cleaning your rear..............

Having a dark blue coupe I was concerned about
using fishing line. I used floss, and yes it broke
several times. But......it works, that followed by
Goo Gone and Scratch X followed by several coats
of wax wiping down with micro-fiber towels.
Ya gotta love that clean look...............

I soaked the dental floss with spray on wax to remove the lettering. No heat was necessary. (It was 56 degrees out that day)
After that some adhesive remover and a cotton fiber towel removed the glue portion.
I applied some more wax and it looks smooth and shiny like there was never anything there.
