Careful, just about every single tint shop underestimates this job (yes, even good ones). See if they have done this kind of tinting before.

If you are remotely good with your hands, you might think about doing it yoruself and save the money.

Before I'd installed the taillight overlays, I'd never done any tint/vinyl work before. It was honestly not that hard, you just have to be patient. Other than a 1/4" thin wrinkle on the left hand side, I installed it perfectly in about 30 minutes. Fortunately, I worked up to the taillights by doing the corners and the orange markers first to see how the vinyl reacted to the heat of the blowdryer, and how it curled around the edges.

I wish I had the pics to prove to you, but I was rear ended last December and will have to do it all over again.

Not only do you save money, I think there's a greater gratification in having done it yourself.

If you are feeling a little adventurous, you should do it yourself.

Either way, you should be pleased with the overlays - I liked my rear much better after they were installed.

Thumbs up

Most people can do it themselves. However, there are times when they screw up one side and ace the 2nd one after they got the technique down. Please note, I'm always willing to sell another replacement piece at discount ofcourse should this happen to anyone. No need to buy a whole new set like other people require .
