06 spoiler installation at dealer

how much should this cost ( parts and labor).. i just picked up the car and they have the spoiler but not the underbody diffusers as part of the aero package ( which i paid for already) . Sales guy quoted me at 595 for just the spoiler install..seems a bit high.. dont need quotes off the manufacture site since thats how much it costs as a factory option..dealer install will always be more... right?

Well when I bought my coupe, they didnt have one with the Aero package, like I wanted. So they were telling me a dealer installed spoiler costs $650 and they could add that to my cost. After more haggling and threatening to goto a different dealer.. they threw in the spoiler at no cost! So that price they gave you sounds fair from a dealer.

I bought mine from Sewell Infiniti for $315 shipped and installed it myself. Sounds pretty high to me.

ok more infor for you. So i paid 695 for the Aero package when i bought the car ( supposedly it costs more if its a dealer installed option vs installed at thefactory) but the parts are on back order for 30 days or so. When i asked how much just the spoiler install is my sales guy told me 595!! so 100 bucks less and you dont get teh diffusers? Seemed a bit odd so i dug a little deaper and found out that the 595 is for an aftermarket factory REPLICA!! So basically if i wait i can get thre real deal or do it now and get some knock off ?? yeah ill pass on that and just wait i think!

Most often, the spoiler you get from a dealer is a replica. I bought mine from Sewell Infiniti in Texas (Infiniti-Parts.com). It is a high-quality replica. Fitment and paint are fantastic. I wouldn't pay a premium for an "OEM" spoiler. IMO, there is no benefit. If I didn't tell you mine is a replica, you'd never know.

yeah but if 695 is the OEM spoiler plus the diffusers and 595 is just the oem replica spoiler... seems that the 695 "Aero Package" is basically worth it right ... oh well to each his own i guess... im sure the replica is just the same

Well, the replica is approx. $315 painted and shipped. The OEM diffusers are about $100 shipped. So you'd be paying almost $300 for installation. A body shop can install the spoiler for you if you don't feel like tackling it yourself and I believe the diffusers are just bolt-on parts. Just trying to save you some $$$.
