I was told (although I have not actually seen one) that unless you are right on top of the hood, it is almost non existant. There is no hard edge as in a clear bra, because the armorcoat rolls on application on the edges. I guess spraying the entire hood wood make sense, but the armorcoat is like gold and is quite expensive.

how much were u quoted for just the hood?

$75 for the partial hood. They just finished an $11,000 job on my girlfriend's G35 sedan, so they are being overly fair.

I know. As soon as the Infiniti body shops does their next armorcoat job, I will be down to the shop to check it out in person. More than likely I'll go for it as almost anything is better than those nasty stone chips.
