Yes it does....
The nylon plunger is removed when the Momo is installed, which lowers the height.
Not that it really matters with an AT

I am working with Redlinegoods to develop a custom shift boot for my MOMO Automatic shift ****. I will post pics of the set up once it is completed (hopefully within the next 2-3 weeks, depending on time).

I have read some threads with people who have criticized people's interest in putting a shift boot on an automatic console, calling it 'rice'. I do not personally agree with their opinions as I prefer the aesthetic look of the manual console (i.e. leather shift boot and nicer shift ****) than the automatic set up. This preference does not change the fact that I also prefer my automatic G35 as it works for me better than a Manual transmission considering my driving pattern (or I would have just bought the manual one). Either way, I will post it for those who are interested in this modification and are not bothered by the opinions of few people who feel that a shift boot is reserved only for manual set ups.

Right on, brother!

It looks a lot better now that the leather has loosened up though; that pic was taken right after the install. What color did you go with?

Anyone who has done this install...

Can you shave the shift shaft down to make this sit even lower? I hate how high the shifter sits...
