Weird Cig Lighter Issue.

I was installing my TvandNav2Go and I was splicing the power from the cables of the cigarette lighter. I accidentally caused a spark and then I couldn't get power from it anymore. I checked the fuse in the driver kick panel but it looks good and i even swapped it for the one in the power outlet.

Any ideas?

Not sure if this applys to our cars but in Toyota, they have a fusable link on the socket for the cig lighter, it's on the tail cap. if that blows no power and I don't think there's a replacement for that, you just need to replace the whole thing. check to see if there is power going into the harness at the lighter if there is then this is probably the reason.

I checked the fuse already and it is intact. I tapped my power not from the stock harness but from the wires leading from the connector to the cig lighter itself that way I would only have to replace a few wires to make it stock again.

I tested this morning and there is no power at the wires.

no power at the wires, just a rediculous question but you did have the key in the run position right?
