forgive me, for I have sinned

The good news is the PA11-NIS iPod install works great. The bad news is the towel I had placed down while removing/reconnecting the plugs on the back of the head unit shifted just a bit, and exposed the hungry sharp edges of my bare shifter threads, and did quite a number on my console paint. OUCH!

I'm hoping there is a fairly cheap way to fix this. I thought about putting an iPod sticker or something over it but if I could actually correct it in some fashion, that would be preferred.

I doubt that I want to replace the faceplate (it didn't look easy/cheap to do) so I'm looking at corrective measures.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions!

Hey it's a good time to do a double din navi install!

This piece is only $79.95. The original piece can't be more than this. Check the dealer

interesting, it didn't look like that piece seperated very easily, but i guess it does. i could take it off, and try to smooth out the scratch and repaint. if it doesn't work, i guess i could just replace it.

thanks for the input so far.

any easy way to match the paint?

I had my dash custom sprayed... it looks like carbon fiber... i dont know people that work in carbon fiber molding so to be it done would be kind of expensive... i know people that can get it done for me but i was looking at about $600 for the dash alone... so i went and got the cash sprayed and it turned out looking nice... it has a clear coat over it too so it protects it from fading and scratching... i've had it there for over a year and so car so good nothing is wrong with it, not one scratch... i paid about $250 for the custom spray
