Blow off valve like noise on NA

Forgive the mechanical ignorance, but do our stock VQ's have any sort of blow-off valve? The reason I ask is I have noticed an occasional noise under WOT, specifically around 5500 rpms or so, eminating from the front region of the car. The sound is extremely short; it lasts just a fraction of a second, and it sounds like a big whoosh. The only other thing I think it could possibly be is maybe the AC compressor turning off under load.

Any ideas?

That's the sound when you hit warp factor 5........

Actually have no idea. Have you installed anything recentl..you might have something loose where air is getting blown out or sucked in.

Maybe it is the sound of the engine reving up after you push in the clutch. If you don't let off the gas fast enough the rev will sound a little like a blow off valve.

I have noticed a sound on my 05 6MT when shifting at high RPMs. But, to me, it sounded a little more like a heat shield rattling, or something like that. I have yet to try looking for an answer. Does anyone else have a guess?

Nope. This is under WOT with my foot completely off the clutch. The first time I heard it, I though "man that sounds like a turbo". Weird.

Good morning Trey, and Trey's Wife,

I believe it's the flux capacitor. It requires 1.21 gigawatts of useable power in order to operate properly.

Please refer here

Good thing I haven't gotten the car to 88mph; I'd have no idea where I would end up.
