leather on interior paneling falling off

guess i'm screwed because the warrantee already ran out, but after this past summer the leather on all four door panels started to fall off. Took the car to the dealer, they replaced one door, replying its good will. Called infiniti consumer affairs, and asked how would you like a car that was garaged, washed weekly, regularly maintenanced, and then after 3 years have the interior suddenly falling off. He reports they could fix it for 650 dollars. I understand the warrantee is what they go by, but wondered if anyone else in this forum had similar problems, and what options i should do besides paying the 650 to fix the 3 remaining doors.

This is quite a weird problem, honestly I've never heard of this happen on a G before, but who knows...

I am re-doing my interior with suede, and while the part of your door that is falling off I haven't bothered to cover in suede on my car, I am sure it would be cheaper for you to cover it in suede than have it all fixed.

Depending on where you are located you can pick up enough pieces of suede to cover your doors for around $120, and can probably save yourself even more money by installing it yourself. I have looked into doing this, but my leather is still fine so i simply did my trim pieces and pillars in suede.

I agree with the above. The leather pieces are held on by a type of spray adhesive that you can just peel off. Does it suck that it's falling apart? Yes. This is great time to upgrade and customize your interior. The stock interior is ugly anyway.

Thanks

just clean the contact areas and scuff it lightly with sand paper then use spray adhesive

My driver's side is doing that too. I'm going to re-glue it.
