This has been very frustrating to me. I have a '06 and the heated seats are generally terrible. Occasionally they get what I consider hot. Regardless they are nothing like the seats in my wife's bimmer that get HOT every time in no time.

I agree that clothing makes a difference. If I am wearing a coat or something similarly thick I feel practically no heat from the seat.

I have to say that i definately agree with that! I wear jeans, or cargo pants for work everyday, and the other night i was driving in "warm up" pants, and i had to turn it off! But when i put back on jeans for work, i get very little heat. Shouldnt it be the other way around if they have a sensor? If they do, ill be very impressed, but suggest they turn it around.

so i guess in general everyone is having problems with the heated seats? i have an 06 coupe. is it worth taking to the dealership if everyone is having the same results when they check it out. my seats seem to get warm, but not hot. my wife's car gets very hot in about 2 minutes.

Same issue here. I often have to change it to low and hi back and forth to get it to work. I think it just takes 4ever to warm up. I try turning it on when warming the car, but as if it doesn't turn on if nobody's sitting in it or something (safety feature?). That's y i flick it on and off once i sit down. Then it starts to warm. Defeats the whole purpose of having heated seat, since it takes the system the same amount of time as my butt does to warm up the seat.

I left my car in the garage for a month, because i didnt want it out in the freezing cold. I used my moms pontiac Grand Prix. Within THREE minutes, the seats were so hot that i had to turn it off and open the windows to get in cold air! I think our seats just suck. Ive come to that conclusion. Hate to say it, but they definately overlooked this feature.
