I was wondering if the front seats on the 05 automatically move forward when letting in a passenger to the back, like on the 04.
Reason for asking is, today I was in an 05 and they didn't move forward themself like they do on the 04.
Is that standard?
I just find it odd that they do that on the 04, and not 05?!

 

i have an 05, and they definitely move forward automatically, as long as you tilt the seat forward & then press the button the back.

 

i wish my seats didnt move foward automatically. Trying to get someone in the back then another in front seat while its raining is horrible. I might as well open the sunroof and windows for the amount of water i get in my car waiting for that damn seat.

I'm use to them moving forward right away when I pulled the lever up and push the seats forward on the 04.
I was at the dealer, I pulled the lever, pushed the seat forward, and nothing. It didn't move forward itself. Oddness. I didn't realize I had to push the button thing on the back of the seat as well.

 

flip the seatback forward, push the button, and they slide forward electronically, kinda slow, but neat feature, my friend with an rx-8 is wowed by it everytime
