Disassemble AT Shift ****
Anyone figured out how to take apart the AT shift **** - not just remove it (well covered in various posts) - but remove the wood or metal strip so that it could be replaced with another material ?

the **** is soft black plastic molded over hard white plastic cover with leather and alum. sheet metal strip.you very much have to cut/saw another the word "detroyed" it to get them apart.don't mess with it...
