i really dont like the dead pedal in my 6MT... it's small, feels flimsy under my foot, and isnt angled properly

and i came across this, what appears to be an add-on to the stock dead pedal..... has anybody tried it??

i said this in another post once, but i got spoiled like **** by the dead pedal on the current M5..... drove the hell out of some of them at the M driving school in south carolina........... it's dead pedal is so sturdy you can press on it harder than my anatomy got by drifting that car around a skid pad

ever since i've HATED the dead pedal in my G.... im pretty sure it was designed as a foot rest as opposed to a foot brace (which is what i need sometimes, hehe)

I was looking at that same item. i find that my dead pedal is too far back and my foot barely reaches it. this looks like a cool product.

did anyone ever buy one? I just bought mine, but fitment seems poor. I'll keep playing with it to see if I can do something different.

after doing some thinking and looking over the part, it appears that the individual or machine responsible for bending this part used an improper bend radius on one of the upper bends.

My suspicion of this is that it doesnt even fit properly over the existing dead petal like its supposed to and from looking at it at different views (top and front) there are dimensions that I would think should be equal on both sides of the part but are visably not (i.e. the space around the holes in reference to the edges is not equal on both sides).

Here are some cell phone pixs of the gap:

If you're interested, my solution to this is to actually just improve the stock setup by using 3M window sealant as it cures fairly hard and it should act as a stronger support than how the current dead petal is now which is shelled with a few thin support ribs. Maybe I'll make a DIY of it just for the hell of it.
