How to remove the glove box?
How to remove the glove box?
I need to get behind the passenger side power socket so I can get at the stupid V1 power connector's tip & fuse that fell in.
I have accessed Infiniti's online service manuals and realized that I need to remove the glove box first. The problem is, I'm having a hard time understanding the manual (what does it mean to "Pull back to your side"?) and can't seem to get at all the screws holding the glove box. I've removed 5 of the screws and the glove box doesn't even budge.
Can someone offer some help on the glove box removal? I made an appointment with Infiniti for this already but would like to save the likely $100 labor charge if possible.
Thanks.

Re: How to remove the glove box?
This is trivial, but I understand how the instructions can be confusing. Look at this link for good pictures on the job:

Moderators,
If this is not in our DIY thread, please put it in. Being able to do this
ourselves will save us thousands of dollars! My only question is the
first step. It looks like you are supposed to pull down on the outer
portion of the glove box and it will simply come off? I'm afraid I will
be breaking something. That is the only confusing part of the instructions.

I took some pics last weekend, I'll get them up this weekend.

TrentaClinque,
That would be great! My in-cabin filter needs changing and I don't
want to pay the dealer $100 to replace it.

Re: How to remove the glove box?
The owners manual says to change it every 15,000 miles.

Or sooner.. say if there's a large fire in your area and you wind up driving around in ash-filled skies for nearly a week. Once the air clears would be a good time to go ahead and replace intake and in-cabin filters.
