Poll on Squeaks, Rattles, and Shakes
Seeing all these posts on squeaks and rattles is starting to stress me out....I'm still waiting for my 6mt sedan. I'm curious if a select few are having problems or if it really is epedemic. Pls respond as to whether you've had problems or not.

There is a posting on the genral sedan page that will answer this question. The guy stated that he drove the 6mt and it seems that they have fixed the problem of sqeaks etc...

In all honesty, only time will tell.[img]/w3timages/icons/smile.gif[/img] My 5AT did not rattle for the first 3 months then started with some. But since ALL cars have their own little squeaks and rattles, I think it is a small price to pay for such a great car so far.

I agree with you Merlin. I have had my car for just overa month and it is developing some rattles(stereo/door panels) and it seems normal. The car is a great performer and a bargin.

how is it possible that you find it normal?
i drive my brother's crv sometimes, and it doesn't rattle at all!
my G is like ... 2 weeks old and it's rattling... gets me so mad
how is it that a CR-V is quieter???
just stressed over how you find the rattles normal...

I have a 2000 4Runner Limited and because it has a truck suspension and is 3 years old it rattles like a SOB now.[img]/w3timages/icons/smile.gif[/img] You may not drive your brothers CR-V often enough to notice any rattles.

I have to agree with bOh on this one...Some cars rattle some don't. Yes generally older cars rattle more but a car that is a few months old shouldn't. My F150 cracks, pops, clunks, snaps all the time (its reallly bad actually). My SHO was pretty much rattle free for most its life...Except for the cell phone in the glove compartment but thats a different story. My wife's eclipse was really tight for 6 yrs or so but recently it has developed a couple. Really depends on the car...

I've had the Sedan and Coupe and beside the odd rattle and fart they're both very tight and relatively problem free.
