Is it possible to add the button for the dual zone feature to a G that doesn't have premium? Has anyone tried this? I see the space on the AC controller where it can be soldered on, and I hear that the people that have done the double-din conversion can transfer the button from their old AC controller to the new one.... So I was just wondering if there are other differences.

 

There are other parts that are different. You can look for yourself at Everything Infiniti. I don't know how different they are, but there are different part numbers for several parts.

Thanks for the reply Dave. I looked on that site and I didn't see differences. Can you give an example? Maybe I missed something. Thx.

EDIT: Ok, I looked in my service manual, and I see there is another flap and flap motor (of course) that is needed. I wonder if they are present anyway just to simplify manufacturing. Will have to snoop around when I have nothing better to do I guess.

Don't waste your $$$. Personally, the Dual-Zone is next to useless in this car. For one, the cabin is too small. Also, even with temps set to the extreme opposite on each side, I can hardly feel a difference.
