just installed my custom powder coated shift ****

First, Props to Kyu1021 for the free shifter

some of you recall my other post asking if the rubber threads inside of the nismo shifter would melt in an oven after powder coating... the answer is NO!

Luckily, the plastic was able to resist the 380 degree temperature inside of the oven.

I wish i took pictures of how the shifter looked like before. it was VERY beat up. I actually got it from Kyu1021 for free because the finish on the shifter turned to **** after a while so he just gave it to me to see if I could do any thing with it...

Well, after I sanded the shifter down and stripped it with chemicals, I took it over to my friends shop to have it powder coated. He just got this new powder in today and it looks freaking awesome. It almost looks like DG.

Well, here are the pictures









Then I went to home depot and bought the rubber grommet

Damn... That does look nice. I can't believe you made that POS shifter look that good.
