How do I remove the upper glove box door ?
#7
Hey man I had the same problem. It was really annoying seeing it pop up and not be able to open the glove without having to pushi it down. I actually fixed it today without replacing it. The reason it does that is the factory glue is not holding it down anymore. I used a glue gun to reglue it. Super glue will not work because it is not thick enough. After applying the glue I put one of the warranty books in my glove box in the space and closed the glove box to push it down while it dried. I left it to dry for a couple hours and it worked perfect.

so i finally go to doing this this past week, from what i saw you dont have to take the whole thing apart, just a few screws under the upper glove box door, i was gonna try glue but im gonna go and use a glue gun instead from what u say it works best since its thicker, ill try to take pics of this aswell

Glue did not hold...
I tried to fix with hot glue gun...lasted only a week. So, can someone tell me how to remove the cover? There are 7 screws on the underside of the door...but it does not release the trim. I do not want to break it trying to take it apart. I do not have a shop manual yet...

i dint remove glove box, i just put plumers glue (stronger and more flexible than standar glue) and i used a grip for a few hours....the bending is gone and its worked for me, here are pics of what it looked liked and the results even days later....i pilled off the skin off the upper glove box compartment (only the affected area not the whole thing) and carefully put the glue in, then i used a grip and it turned out good i also used a couple of broken audio cd to stabilize the Grip tool and so it wont fall when driving, you DO NOT WANT TO PUT THE GRIP TOO TIGHT if so youll leave a dent on the compartment...see your yourselves
