Window Comes Back Down

When I use the auto up feature on the drivers side the window goes up all the way then back down about 2 inches. It is like there is an obstruction and the window is up too tight.

If I raise the window by holding the button up the window goes up fine.

I was wondering if there is a limit switch that may affect this?

You need to reset the limit switch for the window. There is a DIY procedure for this. It pretty much involves removing the door finisher, finding the limit switch and pressing it while opening the window down and up. Do a search for "limit switch reset" and you should find the detailed write-up.

Here's a more detailed discussion of the related problem.

I got this done for the front passenger side window a couple years ago, and haven't had any problems with it since.
