Peeling leather inserts in rear seat side panels?
Hey all,
I've done some digging and haven't really found much in the way of a solution to my dilemma. It seems the leather inserts on both side panels of the rear seat area are falling out. I tuck them in but inevitably they start popping out again.
It seems that some people have had good luck with gorilla glue and others with professional repair shops. Just wondering if you guys could share your (hopefully successful) experiences dealing with this issue.
Thanks!

3m interior spray glue adhesive.
I used 3m interior glue adhesive. I bought it at an autoparts place in a spray can. I removed, pulled it up gave a good dose on the insert and the plastic it holds on to. I then held it in place.
This is a very common problem, in fact my local infiniti dealer even has an outside source who replaces the inserts with new inserts and gives a warranty. I did not want to drop $300 for the service so I just bought the can for $10 and spent an hour of my time making sure I glued them in well.
The fronts on the door do this as well, my driver door was doing it. I did this a year ago and I am still good.
Hope that helps....

It's a relief knowing it's not just my car that this is happening to.
I've tried the 3M spray-on adhesive. It gave way after 3 or 4 months. It seems that the leather gives out some kind of lubricant that loosens up the adhesive. The last thing I did was to use some superglue gel to stick down the edges, but it doesn't help the middle where it's loose.
Is there a DIY video for disassembling the door panel? I took it off but that's as far as I got.

So after a LOOOOONGGG time procrastinating with this, I just used a bunch of this ultra-strength adheseive, all around the edges - and held it tight for a minute or so after application. I have to say it's holding up really well so far, and I'm happy with the results. You can't tell the leather had peeled out.
The glue I used was:
Loctite Stik 'n Seal Ultra Universal Adhesive (Size: 0.71 oz.)
Hope this helps any of you guys fix your peeling leather!
