Lexol

For all you detailers, I have an 06 g35 with wheat interior....picked up the Lexol cleaner and the protectant as well....I have some black marks on my seats, I guess from wearing a suit all the time...I've read how well the Lexol works but it just doesn't seem to be doing the trick

and yes...following all instructions, is there a trick to this?

Mr. Clean Magic Eraser might do the trick.

Post some pics of the marks, they could be from anything so it's hard to say.

hi brettb, when i got my 1st Infiniti (I30) the detailer that prepared it used Lexol,so naturally i started using it too.i am now driving a '04 G35x with the same color interior as yours..a few years later,i discovered (on another website) a leather cleaning product called Bick1.it's made by a company called Bickmore (just google it).after using this product, there is no doubt that it cleans much better than Lexol.you can try that to remove those black marks you're talking about.i typically buy it from horse and tack shops in my area.

leather cleaners

besides Bick1,you can also try a product called Leatherique.from what i read,it costs some coin, but is supposed to be very good.you could also use a VERY small amount of Dawndish liquid along with a scrub brush.if you go this route,be super careful not to scrub too hard.you don't want to damage the protective layer that's on the leather.after doing this, use a good leather conditioner (Bick4) re-moisterize the leather.good luck!!!

leatheriue or megs apc+ and 303 aerospace . Those are the only products i use to detail . Lexol is not very good and gets a bad wrap among detailers . Good over the counter but not a top cleaner . Apc will do in one wipe what it would take an hour scrubbing with lexol .
