Re: Rear Speaker Deck Vibration

I had the same problem. I removed the upper trunk lining (remove push pins) and found out that problem was that the rear deck was vibrating against the sheetmetal. You can fix it by just inserting a foam or a any kind soft material in between, like a shim. There's a hole right behind the trunk light that you can insert the foam in. No need for dynamats. It's a cheap and easy fix. Now I can crank really crank the bass up. Makes a ton of difference.

I too have noticed this problem. But in my case, the rattling is coming from the rear brake light. I'll have it tighted at my next service.

I've noticed a similar thing in my sedan. But in my case, the rattling is coming from the rear brake light. I'll have it addressed at my next service.

Re: Rear Speaker Deck Vibration

I had a similar problem with a tinny vibration when playing loud tunes or going over rough roads at high speeds. It turns out that the defroster coil was loose. I had to whine and cry to the dealer for them to really take a close look but they found it. Now it's all quiet. The coil must live under the rear deck. The vibration sounded like a wire vibrating against metal - very specific, tinny, tight rattle.
