Possible to install coupe front seat into a sedan?
Has anyone tried to install the front seats of a coupe into a sedan? Does it bolt right in or does it need work? Just wondering if it's possible. I have a 6MT sedan and really like the superior coupe seats for the side bolstering. Sure would have helped me on my recent track day. I know the coupe seats don't come with memory and power recline. So essentially a 6mt sedan would be losing the memory positioning and power recline. Thanks for any info.

Yes. I've put in coupe seat into my 6mt sedan. They physical bolt right in but you'll sit about an 1" lower than the stock sedan seats. The blostering is much better than the sedan's. My *** don't slide out in the turns anymore. The airbags electrically plug right in but the seat control i had to make a small harness to cross connect the proper power signals as the connectors are different. Esp on the passenger side. I'm in the bay area if you want to see it.

Weird... I rode with Clint (THX) at the last track day in his car and did not notice his driver seatt being a coupe seat. Guess I didn't pay enough attention. Good to know it can be done and appearantly from Clint with no hassle about the connectors.

... because you're getting old, Darren???
No, I'm kidding. You remember correctly. I just happened to have swapped the coupe seat in a couple nights ago. A complete drop-in and plug 'n play deal. Very cool.

LMAO! .. you two crack me up
For 1 Billion dollars ... they are yours!
Here's an update for yall after living w. it for nearly a week now. I'm finally starting to get aquiainted with the different rear view, side mirror view as well as blind spots. I also find myself reaching for the shifter slightly different and my pedal heel-toe technique changed a bit. All in all, it feels like driving a coupe.
On the side note, I do feel the sedan seat appeared to have absorbed the bumps just a bit better the coupe's. Perhaps slightly better padded? ... could also be very psychological. The coupe seat definitely feels firmer as you seat in it, however.
I did feel more lower back strained after sitting in it after more than 20min. With the lumbar lever all the way forward, it's much better, but at the expense of lateral support as you are now pushed out of the 'bucket'. I'll leave it like for the street and kick it back for the track, where the lateral support is needed more.
