HELP!!!!! Mounting r35 GTR seats in the G35 coupe
As some of you know I'm gutting my interior and doing a complete overhaul on it. I started a new thread, because this is a different subject than my tear down and build up. I have been working on dual ring tails, and I'm switching my interior cluster to the 06 cluster, and swapping my interior lighting to white and blue. Anyways I picked up a set of Recaro GTR seats that the airbags were deployed in. My goal was to keep heated seats and airbags, but to have a more snug racing style seat. Hence why I jumped at the GTR seats.
I will get pics of what I'm talking about later
My goal was to swap the rails, and I was hoping that was all I needed to do, and I would keep the power seats. Well the problem is that there is a long screw piece that goes I between the rails so that the motor will move the seat forward and back. Well when I swapped the rails, that screw is not long enough to go I between the two. Also the angle is way,off on the seats. I will post pics soon of what I'm talking about. I thought all was lost, and I was going to bag the project, but I thought if got brackets and sliders this may still work. The GTR seats have a power back though where ours is the pull bar that causes the back rest to go forward and back. I feared that the motor that controlled the seat controlled that somehow. Also, the driver seat has a power raise and lower on the butt ant thighs. Good news Is I found out both are run by different motors. What I need to check is if I have clearance for the slider and bracket on the drivers side.
WHAT I NEED HELP WITH AND IDEAS
Since the seats were original to Recaro, should I get Recaro sliders on it? Should I go with Wedge or Planted for the seat bracket. I need ideas and help on this. Anything will be great.

Okay, I am having some issues Namely with the wiring. So... I need some help. I know some people have swapped sedan-coupe seats and know what wires do what in the car. I will snap a pic of the wiring in the GTR seat and the Wiring I need to hard wire into the GTR seat. Please help me. One thing I noticed right off the bat was that the GTR sears harness was much much smaller, and there were fewer wires to go into. I tried to wire some things in and see if I could figure out what did what, but my issue is that I dont think there is any power going to the switch that the GTR seat uses. So Even though I have power going to the wire, there is nothing to tell it to go on and off, therefore it does nothing. So any help would be great, even if its just explaining what the wires on my 04 Coupe harness does. If someone could find the Wiring for the GTR seat that would be AMAZING!!!

They dont at all. I have another thread on here that has my tear down and build up. What I did was hope (knowing the brackets would not work) that they would haha, when they didnt I hoped I could take the brackets of my coupe seats and toss them on my GTR seats, so they would line up and I could keep all functions of the seats... Well that didnt work because they are different widths, so I have Recaro Rails and im fighting between wedge preformance and another brands bases.

Okay here are the pics I need some help with.
This is the Harness from the G35 coupe
Here is the GTR harness.
I will no longer have a forward to backward in my car with a motor, but If I can get some help on how to wire it up. Anyone with anykind of experience on this would greatly help. I was trying to hard wire straight to the motors themselves but like I stated I think all the power was going to them, and the switch was not turning it on and off, but rather left it open and on which really didnt cause it to move or anything at all...

Its doubtful. My guess is they are different. I can take a look into it though. I believe the motors are different. My guess is I will probably have to cut off the harnesses and rewire it move the OEM one to the GTR seat so it will all plug in. I will try and see if the motors would just swap that would be ideal... but I have my doubts. ESP because the buttons are different.

I am now finding out that there is another connector for the heated seats that is entirely seperate from this, so thats good to know.

Well I've decided since I'm never really going back to stock seats what I'm going to do is cut the harness off, and try and wire them up manually. If I can kinda figure out what does what. Really I first Need to find the 12v power and grounds which I believe will be the thicker wires. If these seats don't work out, ill be doing a custom set of either cipher auto recaro or sparco's just gotta figure out which ones if the gtr seats don't work I will do. So once again if anyone has any wiring advice on these I would love it.
