Window 1 inch pre-opening

So I just bought my G used back in November and absolutely love it. Favorite thing I own by far. Haven't had a problem until this one little issue just popped up about a week ago. I haven't been able to track anything else down in the forums.

My drivers side window isn't doing the little 1 inch pre-open roll down for when the door is open. Everything else works fine, and I try not to use the Auto up and down feature, but I do activate it once in a while by accident. Besides that the window works perfectly and does nothing else funny, and the passenger side is not doing this.

I am only concerned about this because it seems like the window may actually be hitting the panel above the window now that it doesn't perform this little pre-opneing roll down. Any advice? The only thing I could find was possibly just resetting it, but wanted to make sure it couldn't be anything else before I took the door apart to do that.

It isn't rolling down at all? Mine rolls maybe 1/2" and its fine... You have to reset the window motor otherwise :search:.

Look at the tail end of the window next time you shut it. That seems really weird.

There is a Philips screw on the button on in the door jam that turns the interior lights off adjust it until you see the window start moving then just make sure its in the down position before closing and it should roll up again
