My wheel is starting to look like crap. I'd like to find a NEW OEM wheel to replace it, but not having much luck.

Anyone replace their wheels? Where did you source a new wheel form?

I sourced mine from the junkyard. I sand down all the rubber parts then color matched it to my car. If you had downtime you can take off your steering wheel and sand down all the rubber parts and pain it.

That's just it. I don't have the downtime available.

Ended up buying a new OEM one off ebay.

$200 plus shipping for a new black OEM wheel in Nissan packaging.

Were a couple used 350GT wheels with the orange striping for $200+, but I wanted a brandy new wheel.

I was too.

This is what I bought. Part number 48430-AM600

And googling around, I think $200 was fair. I may have gotten lucky considering the seller is an automotive surplus shop.

Well, I think I'm the luckiest bastard alive. Got the new wheel today. Arrived in a Nissan box in mint condition. Worth every penny of that $200 I paid and looking around online, I can't seem to find another for sale.

Amazing how much thicker and softer the leather is on a NEW steering wheel vs my old peeling wheel. The new wheel feels and smells like leather, while my current wheel feels like crappy wheel.

I'll take some pics at some point.

Now need to hunt down the T30 security socket I need.

Interesting how it comes with a blank switch panel. I'll need to swap my '06's switches over anyway since they are unique to that year due to the bluetooth handsfree button. But overall, I'm happy.
