Seat belt stopped retracting?

I was driving earlier today and as I was parking, I pulled my body forward to look to see if the curb wasn't too close and I guess in the process, I messed up my seatbelt.
Now whenever I get out of my car my seatbelt gets stuck inbetween the door and it's annoying as hell.
If I pull the whole seatbelt out it will retract normally but as soon as I gets about half way it stops and I have to lead it in very slowly.
I also noticed the seatbelt is very firm when I try to pull it around me, it takes a little bit of force to get it out.
Seems like something is in there slowing it down.
Do I need to replace the whole thing or is there an easy fix?

Try cleaning it. Take a damp towel and get the whole belt good and damp. Spray some cleaner like Tuff Stuff on the belt, and give it a good wiped down. Finish up with a dry towel, and then let the whole belt dry overnight with it all the way out. You can put a small plastic clamp on it to keep if from retracting. It won't dry if it is stuck up in the roll fully retracted.

For some reason, when the belt gets old and a little crusty/dirty, it won't retract as well.

And this is a safety concern. While you are at it check if the restraint system is bad...Infiniti warrantees replacement belts for 10-12 years depending on location.

Mine was sticky and I cleaned it but I mentioned it to Infiniti and they did something under warranty.
